Behrooz Afkhami

Born in Tehran in 1956, Behrooz Afkhami graduated from the School of Cinema and Television (IRIB College). As a Film Director and Screen Writer, he is known for a distinct style that blends Point of View and classical human drama subject matter.

Since 1989, Mr. Afkhami continues to teach Script Writing, Directing and Editing both privately and in Universities as a compliment to a noteworthy career in Film and Television.

“Rebel in the Jungle” Koochake Jangali (TV Series) was his successful debut as a director. The Bride was his first feature film, among ten most popular films in Iranian Cinema. It is considered a milestone by critics and cinemagoers because of its cinematic charms. In “The River’s End” Gav Khooni, Mr. Afkhami delivered an iconoclastic approach to film making with a cutting edge Point of View filming technique.
